About the Neighbourhood

Fairview is roughly bounded by Mavis Rd. in the west, Burnhamthorpe Road W and Riel Drive in the north, Hurontario St. in the east, and the CN railway in the south. Fairview is comprised mostly of detached homes and condos. Most of Fairview’s detached homes are between 20 and 40 years old, while condos tend to be between 10 and 20 years old, with some newer developments in the area. About the Community

Fairview is located near Highway 403, located just north of the adjacent Mississauga City Centre. The area is well connected to Mississauga Transit which provides public bus service throughout the city. Go Transit provides commuter service at Cooksville Go Station along the Milton train line. Its close proximity to Mississauga City Centre also provides residents in Fairview easy access to the City Centre Go Terminal, providing bus service to various areas in the GTA.

Fairview is conveniently located just south of Mississauga City Centre, providing residents with easy access to the area’s many amenities, including the Mississauga Civic Centre and Square One Shopping Centre. Although Fairview itself does not have any community or recreational centres, a number of community centres in the surrounding areas are close enough for Fairview residents to enjoy, including Huron Park Recreation Centre and Arena, and the Mississauga Valley Community Centre. Fairview is also home to a number of parks and walking trails for residents to enjoy, including Fairview Park and Dr. Martin L. Dobkin Community Park.

Three public elementary schools serve the Fairview community: Camilla Road Sr. Public School, Fairview Public School, and Munden Park Public School. T. L. Kennedy Secondary School is the area’s high school. Corsair Public School, Tomken Road Middle School, and Applewood Heights Secondary School serve the area for French Immersion.
