About the Community

Mineola is conveniently located alongside the QEW, providing easy access to Toronto. Mississauga Transit provides public bus service to the area along routes 8, 19, and 103. Nearby Port Credit Go Station also connects the area to numerous other bus routes, providing access throughout Mississauga. Go Transit provides commuter service at the Port Credit Go Station along the Lakeshore West train line.

Mineola is close enough to both Port Credit and the Port Credit Go Station to allow residents easy access to a wide variety of shops, services, and entertainment options. Nearby Dixie Outlet Mall also offers a number of shops. Carmen Corbasson Community Centre, located in the east end of Mineola, offers a number of recreational and fitness facilities and activities, including a large swimming pool, Activity Studio, skating arena, and sports leagues. Residents also have access to nearby Port Credit Library and a number of small parks and walking trails throughout the community, in addition to the large Cawthra Park directly east of Mineola.

Mineola is served by a number of public elementary schools, including Kenollie Public School, Mineola Public School, Allan A. Martin Sr. Public School, Janet I. McDougald Public School, and Queen Elizabeth Sr. Public School. Port Credit Secondary School and Cawthra Park Secondary School are the area’s two high schools. Mineola Public School, Hillcrest Public School, and Clarkson Secondary School offer French Immersion programs for Mineola students. Cawthra Park also offers an Arts Secondary program.
